Russian Polka shows basically Russian Embroidery Ornaments. The present volume contains more than 300 designs, mostly in typical warm country colors. Patterns of native and peasant art, created for all kinds of embellishments. Many of the patterns were made for country style knits. They show simple natural symbols and emblems, stylised into an expressive world of folk art. Abstract designs of flowers, leaves, animals and many border motifs complete the creative palette. Originally these motifs were destinated for cotton/indigo prints, for knitted wear & goods as well as for embroidered fabrics.
